We walked on the beach along Lake Superior as the sun was setting. He brought me to this little light house and we sat on some old steps that weren't connected to anything anymore (they were kinda like ruins).

I wanted him to come sit up next to me, but he insisted on sitting at least one step lower than me. He then started to tell me this story about his great grandmother. His great grandmother told her grandkids that whoever was the first to have her great grandchild, that the kid would get a prize.

Kyle said that he got the prize, and it was for passing along ... and then he said, "Will you marry me?" And reached into his pocket and pulled out a box that had his great grandmother's engagement ring!

I of course said yes!

I'm soooooooooo excited!!!! I'll post a pic of the ring once I get it back (it had to be resized).

It's a long engagement, though. We are going to finish college, then probably wait another year to be financially okay.

BUT YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

I'll post pics from vacation possibly at some point... if I want any on DA, lol.

I'm obviously back from vacation. xD
